Hyundai won’t be lacking for new metal to show off when the doors of the Paris Motor Show open a week from now. It’s bringing the updated i10 and all-new i30, but that’s not all.
The highlight of the Korean automaker’s display will undoubtedly be the vehicle you see here in this latest teaser image.
The Hyundai N Concept RN30 previews what a performance version of the new i30 could look like. Jointly developed by the company’s European technical center, racing team, and new performance vehicles division, the RN30 is based closely on the i30, but dropped down closer to the tarmac, with a wider stance and a sportier look.
Hopefully the RN30 concept (or any potential production version that might result) will pack as much bite as it does bark. Because this could be just what Hyundai needs to take on the likes of the Ford Focus ST and Volkswagen Golf GTI – if not the Focus RS and Golf R. We’ll hopefully find out in due course, but in the meantime we’re looking forward to seeing what it’ll look like at the French expo.
