Unless your name is Luke or Bo Duke, it’s usually good to wait for the ferry to securely dock on land before taking off.
But that’s not what happened with an impatient driver late last week at a port in Crimea. The driver of the dark sedan can be seen getting into the car around the 20-second mark and driving off way before the ramp even had a chance to connect with the dock.
According to reports, the driver was quickly pulled from the water and after a few brief minutes a doctor was already attending to his condition.
While this particular incident is rather hard to explain, the second video brings us something we can definitely wrap our heads around – a truck trying to load its cargo onto a barge. Indeed, this accident is a little more straight forward, though equally unfortunate as the first one.
What we can’t work out is why the barge started to move away from the bank of the river in the first place. It was either pushed inadvertently by the truck or there was some miscommunication with whoever was in charge of the barge.
Luckily, the truck driver had time to jump off, which he does around the 25-second mark – though at that point, the cargo and the truck were already lost.
H/T to Mikhail!
