Recall notices come across the virtual newsdesk here at Carscoops covering all sorts of vehicles. Few of them relate to million-dollar hypercars, but that’s just what we have here.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for 32 examples of the Pagani Huayra from the 2014-16 model years and manufactured between April 21, 2014, and July 29, 2016. The most surprising bit of which may very well be that there are that many of them in the United States.
The problem is with the driver’s airbag, which “may not remain adequately secured to the steering wheel during deployment, and therefor… deploy improperly.”
Fixing it will be a simple matter of changing the fasteners in the steering wheel airbag assembly, a process which already started a few weeks ago. Given that there are only 32 vehicles to repair, we’d imagine the recall will be completed at a pace typical of a Pagani.
