In case you recognize this particular corner of the Nordschleife, it’s because plenty of drivers have made the mistake of misjudging just how fast they should approach it.

This time though, the track conditions are even more difficult than usual as that asphalt looks completely soaked. In other words, you don’t want to be pushing any limits unless you know for a fact your car also has the necessary grip to make up for any potential driver error.

As far as we can tell, what happens here is that the driver loses control pretty much as soon as he begins to slow his car down – which does tend to happen in the wet.

Furthermore, once he’s sliding towards the outside of the corner, all bets are pretty much off because it becomes an uncontrollable slide which eventually puts him in the wall.

Luckily, the impact looked sufficiently minor so as to not cause any physical harm (we assume), and the GT3 RS didn’t look in too bad of a shape either as it drove away from the site of the impact before coming to a halt.

Bottom line, yet another lesson learned the hard way.
