Renault has a long connection with moving pictures that dates back to 1895, when the brand’s factory hosted the early cinema studious, in Billancourt, near Paris.

Now, 121 years later, the French manufacturer is looking back at its entire movie history with a special exhibition that will see the display of several cars, made famous by the silver screen.

Renault is proud to be contributing to this retrospective of some of the film industry’s most memorable moments with the display of 11 vehicles from its own collection“, the automaker writes.

Some of the cars that will be on display at the brand’s “Cars and the Cinema” retrospective, from October 1 to 16, in Hall 8 of the Porte de Versailles exhibition center, in Paris, include the Floride, a model that has strong ties with Brigitte Bardot, the Renault 11 taxi driven by James Bond in ‘A View To A Kill’, the Safrane that featured in ‘Les Visiteurs’ (The Visitors) and the Renault 8 Gordini, from ‘Ne Nous Fachons Pas’ (Let’s Not Get Angry).

Besides these classic cars, the automaker’s stand at the 2016 Paris Auto Show will also see the Alpine Vision Gran Turismo, created especially for the video game that wears the same name in 2015.
