This year’s Paris Auto Show opens up for business on September 29, starting with the press days, before it welcomes the public from October 1 to 16.
Some of the standout world premieres of the 2016 show include Audi’s A5 / S5 Coupe and Sportback models, Land Rover’s next-generation Discovery, Mercedes’ foray into the premium estate crossover segment with the E-Class All-Terain, and Peugeot’s new 3008 and 5008 that blur the boundaries between minivans and SUVs.
There are plenty of progressive conceptual models heading to Paris as well, such as Citroen’s CXperience sedan, the Lexus UX crossover and Volkswagen’s electric car study, just to name a few.
On a less positive note, a handful of automakers, including Ford, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini and Volvo, will be skipping the Paris Auto Show this year, the reasoning being that they’re scaling back on exhibition costs to funnel that money elsewhere to reach customers.
