With 540 PS on tap, the all-wheel driven Audi R8 V10 Spyder is one of the fastest-accelerating and easy to live with convertible supercars money can buy.

Now, while it’s not the most powerful car in this segment, it will still hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds thanks to all those horses as well as its 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, which means you’ll never be lacking in performance.

According to CarAdvice editor Curt Dupriez, the R8 Spyder comes with a genuine Jekyll and Hyde personality, where you get a magnificent soundtrack coming from that naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine, yet also a very relaxed drive should you need one.

Among the negatives is its weight. The R8 V10 Spyder tips the scales at 1,795 kg, or 3,957 lbs. In comparison, a Ferrari 488 Spider is almost 200 kg (440 lbs) lighter, and that’s saying a lot since the Ferrari also packs a lot more power.

Yet, the R8 still manages to impress with its performance. Not only is it quick to reach 100 km/h (62 mph), it will also max out at 318 km/h (197 mph), just 6 km/h (3 mph) shy of what a 610 PS Lamborghini Huracan Spyder can do.
