A stealthy black-on-black McLaren P1 GTR has just hit the used car market in the Netherlands and is so menacing it could double as the Batmobile.
As with a selection of other P1 GTRs to have rolled out of McLaren’s Woking technology center, this example has been made road legal thanks to British firm Lanzante Motorsport and is arguably the craziest street car currently available.
GTspirit reports that this car has an asking price of $4.3 million which to anyone other than the absurdly rich, is a lot of money. Is it worth it?
Perhaps a quick read of the spec sheet should help you make up your mind.
Power for the car comes courtesy of a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine coupled with an electric motor and pumping out 1000 PS (986 hp), making it 83 hp more powerful than the road-going P1. The hybrid hypercar also delivers 660 kg of downforce at 150 mph (241 km/h) thanks to a host of new aerodynamic parts like a towering rear wing, bold front splitter and four aggressive canards.
The P1 GTR is also significantly rarer than the standard model, with a mere 45 believed to have been built.
