BMW‘s G30 5-Series is just a couple days away from its world premiere and now, has revealed more of its updated styling in a number of teaser images and videos.

From the front, these images from BMW Blog reveal that the new 5-Series adopts a set of brand new headlights similar in design to those of the 3-Series, albeit on a slightly larger scale. The lights of the new 5-Series also feature an obvious eyebrow at the top which stretches into the side of the marque’s customary kidney front grille.

At the rear, the new 5-Series has been heavily updated from the outgoing model with a unique bumper design and previously-teased LED taillights. The 5-Series present in these teaser images also includes a set of oddly-shaped tailpipes which appear to have a chrome finish.

Alongside the refreshed design, the new 5-Series will include a plethora of advanced autonomous driving technologies in BMW’s bid to make it a true rival to the updated E-Class.

The new car will also be underpinned by the same architecture as the 7-Series which means a combination of magnesium, high-strength steel and carbon fiber will be used in its construction. This should result in a weight drop of around 100 kg (220 lbs).
