After weeks of trailers and behind-the-scenes videos, BMW Films has finally released its latest short film, dubbed The Escape.
Starring Clive Owen as ‘The Driver’ as well as John Bernthal, Dakota Fanning and Vera Farmiga, the 13-minute long video coincides with the recent launch of the G30 5-Series and 15 years after the original ‘The Hire‘ series was produced by BMW Films.
Without spoiling any plot details, the finished short film features all the high-intensity action we had expected. As a way to promote the latest 5-Series, it is certainly unique and bound to turn a few heads in the industry.
As for the 5-Series featured, it is the 540i model. It therefore utilizes a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine delivering 335 hp, enough to make the car a match for the very best Bernthal’s security crew can throw at it.
It’s not yet clear if BMW intends on releasing a sequel or any further installments but we have our fingers crossed.
