Buick is on track for an annual sales record having surpassed the 1 million mark in the first nine months of the year.
Never before in the brand’s 113 year history has it delivered over 1 million vehicles so quickly and the final figure of 1,046,746 through September is almost 200,000 more than the same time period in 2015.
Year-over-year, Buick’s growth currently sits at 23 per cent and if sales remain strong for October, November and December, is on track for its fourth consecutive all-time global sales record.
As it stands, Buick is the second-largest passenger car brand in China and currently outsells Lincoln, Audi, Infiniti and Acura in North America.
The brand is particularly proud of the popularity of the compact Envision SUV which is on track for over 200,000 sales this year. The Encore SUV is also proving more popular in the U.S. than ever before and recently enjoyed its best ever sales month in almost four years with 7,196 deliveries.
