Yet another Chinese automaker has launched a new model heavily inspired by an existing car, this time, ripping off the BMW i3.
Details about the Chinese BMW i3 wannabe are scarce, but these images and information from PC Auto suggest that the model will soon hit the streets of China in both plug-in hybrid and all-electric forms.
The hybrid features a 1.0-liter internal combustion engine delivering 68 PS (67 hp) coupled to a 41 PS (40 HP) electric motor, while the EV is powered solely by the electric motor.
According to the local publication, the Chinese i3 has similar dimensions to the real thing, measuring 4,163 mm long, 1,720 mm wide and 1,630 mm high and boasts a 2,515 mm wheelbase. The BMW i3 has a slightly longer 2,570 mm wheelbase but is shorter at 3,999 mm, wider at 1,775 mm and marginally lower at 1,578 mm.
