Pagani used to rule the Nurburgring with the Zonda F nine years ago.
Back then, the small Italian car company put Marc Basseng behind the wheel of chassis number 58 and the German racing driver managed to shatter Porsche’s unofficial lap record by almost 4 seconds, as he took the supercar around the 12.9-mile (20.76 km) long track in just 7:27.82.
Pagani Automobili hasn’t, however, forgotten about ‘The Green Hell’ in more modern times, as the automaker has hinted towards a new attempt at challenging the Nurburgring lap record for production vehicles, which is currently held by the Porsche 918 Spyder that, with Marc Lieb at its helm, lapped at an incredible 6:57.
Could it be that the new Pagani Huayra BC, which was spotted on a couple of occasions tackling the Nurburgring recently, has went around the track faster than the 918 Spyder? That would surely explain the Pagani this teaser, which ends with “to be continued”, so we should expect an official statement in the near future.
