Hot on the heels of the brand new BMW 5-Series debuting to the world, images have surfaced online reportedly previewing the latest M5.
The Cammed & Tubbed Podcast claims to have received these official CAD renderings from an unnamed BMW employee, previewing both the front and rear fascias of the German marque’s latest and greatest high-performance sedan.
At the front, the differences between the model pictured and lesser 5-Series models are obvious. For starters, a different bumper has been installed with larger and more angular air intakes. The aggressive theme is then carried through to the rear where a different bumper can be seen alongside a bold diffuser.
While not included in these renderings, the G30 BMW M5 will include many other special design touches. For example, quad tailpipes are inevitable as are bespoke side skirts and a set of distinctive wheels.
Beneath the skin, we know that the new M5 will include a revised version of the outgoing model’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. In excess of 600 hp is on the cards and in some markets, the model will be available with all-wheel drive.
