Osaka was the place to be this weekend for every Ferrari enthusiast, as the Prancing Horse’s local arm celebrated its golden anniversary.
For its 50th birthday, Ferrari Japan threw a riverside party, during which approximately 100 Ferrari owners came from across the country to display their prized vehicles in front of roughly 3,000 fans.
Besides taking a closer look at some of the most iconic machines the Italian-based car company produced over time, including the Testarossa, LaFerrari, 599 GTO, 488 GTB and California T, attendees were captured by the highlight of the event – a river parade of the iconic models on the boats.
During their one-hour journey, the supercars left Nakanoshima Island, led by the Ferrari F2003-GA, for a trip to the Dotombori bridge, a famous landmark spot for Osaka’s residents and tourists.
“Osaka shows a great connection with the Ferrari brand this year again“, said Senior VP of Ferrari S.p.A. Commercial and Marketing, Enrico Galliera, reminding of the 2015 Midousuji Festival, when F1 cars were dynamically driven around the city. “I appreciate all of you who attend the event, and thank you for organizing another great event where we celebrate 50 years of Ferrari in Japan.“
