Tesla has been having a few problems with its Autopilot system lately, so much so that the German government allegedly deemed the carmaker’s technology a hazard.

Reuters reports that German magazine Der Spiegel obtained a document from Germany’s Transport Ministry which allegedly viewed the Tesla Model S as a “considerable traffic hazard”.

According to the report, the Autopilot system doesn’t warn the driver if the car gets in a situation that the computer cannot solve. Moreover, the report also says that the vehicle’s emergency brake performs inadequately (without giving any details), and its sensors do not detect far back enough during an overtaking maneuver.

However, a final evaluation has not been conducted yet, as the Transport Ministry is still testing the vehicle. Also, it’s unknown if the agency was referring to the car prior to the maker’s software update, which Tesla claims to have refined to increase its reliance on the firm’s in-built radar.

Tesla’s tech became the target of multiple accusations after Joshua Brown, 45, died in an accident that occurred on May 7 in the small city of Williston in Florida.
