Two images of the all-new Jeep Grand Wagoneer have leaked online following a Fiat Chrysler Automobiles dealer meeting.
As detailed in the image from FCA’s product plan above, Jeep’s new Grand Wagoneer is set to arrive in the second half of 2018 and these leaked images (embedded below) via Jalopnik reveal that the model will bare obvious similarities to the Grand Cherokee but will include a multitude of unique styling traits.
Up front we can see that the headlights will consist of seven bright LEDs located within a cluster similar in shape to the current Grand Cherokee. Additionally, distinctive LED fog lights are visible as is Jeep’s seven-slat grille and a lower bumper element again drawing on the Grand Cherokee for design inspiration.
At the rear, much of the design mimics the front, particularly with taillights that also consist of seven LEDs in a thin, horizontal unit.
Current reports indicate that the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer will share parts with the Maserati Levante and could be offered with the same range of engines. That means a turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 and a 3.0-liter V6 diesel may be made available.
Beyond its powertrains, recent confirmation came from Jeep boss Mike Manley that the Grand Wagoneer could cost up to $140,000 in the United States, making it upwards of $70,000 more expensive than the current Grand Cherokee SRT.
Before the Grand Wagoneer arrives, the next-generation Grand Cherokee will arrive in mid 2017 and a new Wrangler early next year.
