Ken Block has just teased his latest and craziest adventure which sees the 1,400 hp Hoonicorn V2 tackling the famed Pikes Peak hill climb.
Scheduled for a full release in summer next year, this brief trailer shows the Gymkhana expert screaming up the spectacular road in what’s been aptly named as ‘Climbkhana’ in what looks set to launch a new generation of Gymkhana videos.
Block’s latest drifting machine was only revealed last week and is the craziest yet. Powered by a 6.7-liter V8, the new Hoonicorn now includes two turbochargers and runs on methanol, helping to deliver an incredible 1,400 hp at the crank.
What that power results in is a tire-smoking and tire-destroying all-wheel drive machine unlike any other. Frankly, we have no idea how the tires will be able to hold up during the 19.99 km (12.42 mile) hill climb.
Unfortunately, we have to wait a long eight months to find out. Here’s hoping we get some other Hoonicorn V2 videos in the meantime.
