Triple Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton will feature in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, joining the likes of actor Kit Harrington and UFC star Conor McGregor.
ESPN reports that Hamilton has filmed six individual scenes for the game and recently recorded voice clips and facial expressions at a studio in Los Angeles. In one of them, he could be heard saying “Captain, news reports coming on about the gateway if you want to join us.”
While speaking with French TV network M6, Hamilton said that it was an honor to feature in the game, set to be released on November 4.
“I remember growing up with Super Mario, where the graphics were outdated at the time, but that’s how it was back in the day. It’s crazy to see how far it has come – it’s insane.
“I loved it, it was an incredible experience. I’m incredibly honoured to be part of this game — I grew up playing it,” he said.
While Hamilton had some fun recording scenes for the game, he’ll be back to business on track at this weekend’s U.S. Grand Prix where he enters trailing championship leader Nico Rosberg by 33 points with just four races remaining.
