Geely’s new car brand, Lynk & Co, only revealed its first model late last week and is making the claim that the 01 is the world’s most connected car.
To preview one of the SUV’s most advanced features, a short video showcasing its ‘Share’ feature has been released which allows owners to share the vehicle with others when they’re not using it.
To enable the feature, all a driver has to do is press the share button on the infotainment system and select for how long they’d like to share their 01 with others. Users can then book time in the car via a smartphone application and get access to the vehicle via a shareable digital key.
Lynk & Co believes the 01 could be the first in a connected car revolution where car-sharing soars in popularity and becomes commonplace.
Underpinning the Lynk & Co 01 is the same architecture as the upcoming Volvo XC40 and while engine details have yet to be confirmed, it is expected to receive numerous 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 1.5-liter three-cylinder engines sourced from Volvo.
