The Indians behind Mahindra & Mahindra are getting ready to expand the e2o family with a new addition, which will add the Plus suffix.

Teased in the first official images, the all-new Mahindra e2o Plus has yet to reveal its final design, but it’s known that it is based on the model launched in 2013, and adds a pair of rear doors on top of it.

Mechanically speaking, the new e2o Plus is expected to remain identical to its three-door sibling, meaning that a 13.9 kWh battery pack will provide the juice to the electric motor, allowing it to go from 0 to 25 mph (40 km/h) in around 5 seconds and up to a top speed of 63 mph (101 km/h).

The total driving range of the two-door four-seater sits at 79 miles (127 km), so the more practical variant should mirror it. As far as pricing goes, the entry-level e2o costs £12,995 ($16,155) in the United Kingdom, while the better-equipped TechX can be had from £15,995 ($19,885), so the five-door is expected to slot between these.

Mahindra is believed to lift the veils off the all-new e2o Plus over the next few days.
