As is the case with all nuclear power plants, waste needs to be disposed, which generally means transporting it off site to get buried somewhere.

That’s exactly what’s going on in this video, recorded by a man named Robert who seems to be quite taken aback by the sheer size of the convoy.

According to Popular Mechanics, the convoy is carrying Class C waste (which is listed on the truck). Class C is actually a low-level waste, far from being as dangerous as spent nuclear fuel. However, out of all low-level wastes, Class C does happen to be the most radioactive, which means it still needs to get buried at a significant depth.

As for the convoy, that rig is definitely as impressive as they come. There are 96 individual wheels on that trailer alone, all of them doing their job carrying the 149 tons (298,400 lbs) of radioactive material.
