There is just something about the Subaru Outback that makes it way cooler than other wagons out there.
Perhaps it’s the fact that it was among the first to offer a jacked-up ride that gave it an extra, useful dimension to its character and combined with its rally genes attracted just the right amount of customers that in its image, found the perfect car to suit their lives.
This is a 2008 Subaru Outback XT Limited, equipped with the rather desirable combo of the turbocharged 2.5-litre boxer engine and a five-speed manual. It has covered just under 98,000 miles and judging by the specs list, it was owned by a fellow enthusiast before who couldn’t resist adding a few goodies on it.
The car comes with a muffler delete, a Cobb cold air intake, the Legacy GT suspension, a set of WRX alloys and extra off-road lights among others. Since it’s the XT model, it also has the same SI-Drive rotary controller as the STI models of that era, which lets you choose between three different driving modes.
It comes with a dealer service history, a clean Carfax and it’s offered for $12,980 at Sky Motor Cars, outside Philadelphia. If you can think of a more practical, yet entertaining daily driver, let us know in the comments.
