A low-tier BMW can be a good bang for your buck, perhaps more so if it comes with a supercharger.

Back in the day, the naturally aspirated 1.9-litre, 142 hp 318ti Compact was the most basic BMW 3 Series you could buy in the U.S. Predictably, it wasn’t a hit or the most desirable BMW on the market, but with proper caring the little one had some fight in it. Just like this one does.

This black E36/5 comes with a plethora of mods, including a custom Alcantara interior, racing slicks, limited slip differential, racing coil-over suspension, and a frigging supercharger.

Its owner, who is currently selling it for $6,499, says it has a clean title, and can go sideways without breaking a sweat. Sadly, details about how much power it delivers are nonexistent, but judging by the long list of upgrades, the car has been treated well.

Moreover, it looks like the goods brought to the car were balanced and focused on sharpening its handling more than anything else. If you think you can handle its might, you can check out the Craigslist ad here.
