Oh, the Mclaren P1 GTR. One of the craziest modern vehicles in existence, designed specifically to fill its driver with adrenaline and post record lap times.
The track-only variant of the British hybrid hypercar is packing 1000PS (986hp) from its powertrain that combines an 800PS (789hp) twin-turbo V8 with a 200PS (197hp) worth of help coming from the electric motor.
The front track is widened by 80mm compared to a standard P1, while the ride is lowered by 50mm. The whole body is now adorned with a new wild aero agenda, including a huge rear wing that sits 400mm above the bodywork. McLaren claims that the body can now produce up to 660kg / 1,455 lbs of downforce at 150mph.
While Lanzante Motorsport is already converting a handful of these incredible track-only machines for road use, we don’t think that any sane person would want a drive on a bumpy back road after watching this beast being unleashed on the Anglesey circuit on Evo magazine’s latest video.
