A woman in Queensland, Australia came within inches of being struck by a car while at a marked pedestrian crossing.
Filmed by the dashcam of a nearby motorist, the clip shows a blue Toyota Corolla speeding through the crossing without even noticing the pedestrian, failing to brake at all during the incident.
Just before her scrape with death, the woman can be seen thanking the driver of a red car as she begins to cross the road.
The astute driver of the red car then beeps their horn once they see the blue car approaching the crossing, giving the pedestrian enough warning to look up and stop in her tracks just as the car drives by, saving her from injury or even death.
While some commentators on the YouTube video claim that the woman is partly at fault for crossing without looking, in the eyes of Australian law, she had the right of way and the motorist should have stopped.
