It’s widely known that luxury taxes can significantly increase the cost of a brand new premium car in many parts of the globe, but you might be surprised about the price of Aston Martin’s new DB11 in India.
It priced more than a Lamborghini Huracan or a Mercedes-AMG GT, according to IndianAutosBlog, who were present at the launch event of the British grand tourer in the Asian country, reporting that it costs 4.27 crore.
If you have no clue what that means, it’s understandable, and we’ll tell you that 1 crore equals to ten million rupees or roughly $642,000! Its price can go through the roof if the customer ticks any of the optional features.
We’ll remind you that the latest offering from the DB series uses a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine. The lump has been developed by the Brits in-house and it’s good for 608 PS (600 HP) and 700 Nm (516 pound-feet) of torque, which allows the car to sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 4 seconds and record a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).
Prices for the most powerful production DB model in the brand’s history kick off from $211,995 in the United States, from €204,900 ($228,869) in Germany, and £154,900 ($192,037) in the UK.
