With the introduction of the Volvo S90 sedan and its V90 estate sibling, it is clear that the Swedish automaker has upped its game with advanced new technologies and luxurious features.
So has Volvo’s high-end models shape up as serious alternatives to offerings from Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW, what would a luxurious droptop from the marque look like?
To give us an idea, Theophilus Chin has created what he dubs the C70, a cabriolet version of the S90, though you could call it the C90.
While there’s no indication that such a model is on the cards, it could shape up to be the perfect rival to the upcoming 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet.
Surprisingly, the design of the S90/V90 siblings seem to work quite well as a cabriolet, particularly from the front end. The rear, in particular the taillights, are still opinion-splitting, but overall, it’s still quite an intriguing prospect.
