It is no secret that the BAC Mono is an incredibly fast car but just how quick is it? How does 1 second faster than the track-only McLaren P1 GTR sound?
Well when Evo Magazine brought the updated Mono to the Anglesey circuit as the latest addition to its racetrack leaderboard, that’s exactly what happened.
Not only was the Mono a second faster than the P1 GTR, it was almost three seconds quicker than the absurd Radical RXC Turbo 500 and 4.9 seconds faster than the road-legal McLaren P1 on its standard tires.
Compared the original Mono, the 2017 model has a 2.5-liter Mountune naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine delivering 305 hp instead of a Cosworth-sourced 280 hp, four-pot and even though the model’s design is more than five years old, it still looks as fresh as ever.
If we had a spare 110,000 pounds, we know where it would go.
