Designed primarily for international markets and sharing the same underpinnings with the Peugeot 301, the Citroen C-Elysee has been taken through a facelift.
Its overall look remains pretty much unchanged, except for the tweaked radiator grille, headlights, fog lights and LED DRLs. At the other end, the compact saloon comes with 3D-effect lights, and emphasizing its refreshed stance are two new colors – Lazuli Blue and Aluminum Grey, which replace the Teles Blue and Steel Grey, respectively.
New 16-inch rims have also been added to the 2017 C-Elysee, while inside, the car benefits from a new 7-inch touchscreen interface that delivers a more responsive experience, allowing users to connect their phones via Bluetooth. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also supported, and so is the voice recognition technology. The Citroen Connect Nav system promises to “provide an improve navigation experience”, working together, in some markets, with connected services that show petrol/diesel prices, alternative route suggestions and hazard alerts.
Depending on the market, the 2017 Citroen C-Elysee can be had with a wide range of petrol and diesel engines, including the PureTech 82 PS, VTi 115 PS, HDi 91 PS and BlueHDi 100 PS, mated to either a manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The car continues to be put together in Vigo, Spain, and in its latest offering, it will go on sale in the first quarter of 2017. Additionally, the Chinese version, built in Wuhan, will benefit from similar updates and will be released early next year.
