A prototype of the facelifted Mercedes-Benz C-Class, tipped to arrive in 2018, has been filmed during testing for the very first time.

As development of the model is still in its early stages, there’s no solid info concerning changes compared to the current car. That being said, the usual fleet of styling changes are to be expected, meaning refreshed front and rear bumpers and updated head- and taillights.

Considering that the current C-Class is essentially a mini version of the S-Class, it seems probable that the headlights and taillights of the facelifted C-Class will closely mimic those of the updated S-Class, which is set to debut next year.

Beyond its updated design, some of the new inline-six engines recently confirmed for the 2018 S-Class could find their way in the revamped C-Class as well. As for its launch, we don’t expect it earlier than the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2017 – at best.
