Fiat has used the Sao Paulo Motor Show 2016 as the place to expand the Toro pickup truck range.
The Italian automaker has unveiled the new Toro Freedom Flex 2.4 at the show and fitted it with a new 2.4-liter MultiAir engine delivering 186 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be particularly useful in Brazil as it has the ability to run on 100 per cent ethanol.
Additionally, this 2.4-liter engine comes with a Start & Stop system which Fiat says can slash fuel consumption by up to 20 per cent in congested urban traffic. Also found within the 2.4-liter Toro Freedom Flex is a sport function which provides improved agility and performance.
The 2.4-liter model also features a tire pressure monitoring system, leather steering wheel, paddle shifters and 16-inch wheels.
Also presented in Sao Paulo is the Fiat Toro Black Jack, based around the Freedom Flex 2.4 but with some custom styling touches. These include LED daytime running lights, tinted 17-inch wheels, black accents throughout the interior, leather seats and stealthy exterior absent of any chrome parts.
