Honda have taken to the Long Beach International Motor Show in order to unveil their brand new Rebel bike.
In order to attract a younger generation of buyers, Honda went with a slim, blacked out design for the Rebel, as well as with a low 690mm (27 in) seat height for a more supple appearance.
Powering this new model is an A2 license-friendly 471 cc 8-valve twin-cylinder unit, plucked from the Japanese manufacturer’s popular 500cc trio. Among its features are the revised PGM-FI fuel injection mapping, which is now more torque-heavy towards the bottom-end, thus offering a sporty feel as well as a smooth and linear power delivery.
Buyers will be able to purchase the Rebel in three colors: Graphite Black, Matte Armored Silver Metallic and Millennium Red.
Overall, Honda is hoping the Rebel can offer a fresh take on what is otherwise a classic, old-school design.
