It’s hard to believe that it’s already been seven years since the Ferrari 458 Italia’s launch, but it’s true. This, however, does not detract from its magic one bit.
Yes, it might have been replaced by the 488 GTB that’s faster, torque-ier, more frugal, what-have-you, but the sheer noise of that naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 that revs to a dizzying 9,000 rpm is unsurpassed – plus, as good as its successor might be, to some it’s not as elegant as the 458.
Now, imagine being behind the steering wheel of one, with no serious traffic to bother you and… long tunnels! What would you do? You’d wring the neck out of that V8, if only for the glorious noise it makes as it reverberates around those walls.
