If you enjoyed the 991 Turbo & Turbo S-based GTstreet R unveiled last week by TechArt, you definitely need to see what they’ve done with this Convertible version.
While it does keep bright accents to a minimum, it still features all those extreme carbon fiber aero updates, such as the massive active rear wing, front apron, active front spoiler lip, front lid, rear diffuser, four central carbon fiber tailpipes, fenders and air intakes.
In terms of performance, all these revisions provide as much as 321 kg (707 lbs) of downforce at 300 km/h (186 mph), which you will need since TechArt also offers power upgrades to go with their GTstreet R mod.
In total, there are three power kits available, rated at 600 HP, 640 HP and a 720 HP one that will be available in early 2017. With the 640 HP package, the GTstreet R Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds, though we don’t expect this Cabriolet version to be considerably slower.
Speaking of which, this particular Cabriolet model on display at the Auto Zurich Car Show is a lot more subtle-looking. Compared to the Coupe, the lime green is gone and replaced with black and neon yellow accents, which find their way inside the cabin as well (around the seats, but probably on more surfaces as well).
Suffice to say, this is one hard-to-miss convertible with plenty of power on tap.
