After letting us know that their new X suffix-wearing model will be called the Crossland X earlier this month, Opel are at it again asking us to guess the name of yet another new car.
In terms of clues, the only thing that jumps out is the fact that we’re looking at the same number of letters (nine) as with the ‘Crossland’, plus of course the X at the end.
The first letter is obviously ‘G’, which could stand for a lot of things, like “Grand-something X or Green-something X”, though we’re more interested in hearing what you think, since we’re definitely hoping one of you actually manages to guess the correct name.
Another thing worth considering is that from now on, the letter ‘X’ is meant to represent Opel’s CUV models (Crossover Utility Vehicle), setting them apart from their conventional street-focused counterparts.
So with that in mind, it could mean that the mystery car can’t be the automaker’s new compact crossover – the so called “sister model” to the Peugeot 3008 – since that’s a crossover by design and not something that’s derived from a separate, more urban-oriented car.
But maybe we’re wrong, so let the guessing begin!
H/T to BQX!
