The Mercedes-AMG GT R might be the top-dog in the brand’s current lineup, but Piecha Design is seriously upping the stakes with its take on the German sports coupe.
Unveiled more than two months ago and promising to be far more powerful than the aforementioned model, the tuner’s latest creation is being brought forward these days with a new image gallery that marks its debut at the 2016 Essen Motor Show, which opens its gates on November 26.
As far as the car is concerned, it promises to pack 612 PS (603 HP) and 840 Nm (620 lb-ft), which translates into a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
Finished in a bright blue shade and equipped with carbon fiber aero kit, which also includes an underbody diffuser, Piecha Design’s Mercedes-AMG GT-RSR features 90 mm tailpipes as well. As a final touch, the 19-inch front and 20-inch rears alloys are wrapped in 275/35 and 305/30 Yokohama Advan Sport rubber respectively.
