Renault’s extensive vehicle lineup at this year’s edition of the Sao Paulo Motor Show included not just the Duster Extreme and Sandero RS Grand Prix concepts, but the Kwid Outsider as well.
Developed together with Renault Design Latin America (RDAL), the small crossover gets a light conceptual makeover, serving as a preview for the production model set to go on sale in Brazil.
The show car features adds some color to the Kwid that was revealed last May in India with an orange paint contrasted by green accents, silver skid plate, plastic cladding all around, roof rails and larger wheels, in an overall design that mimics the Kwid Climber Concept, unveiled earlier this year.
Inside, the study is similar to the Indian market crossover, sans for a modified instrument cluster, slightly redesigned central console, some repositioned buttons, relocated glove box, and orange accents, in tone with the exterior.
Apart from the visual updates and added equipment, including the 7-inch MediaNav infotainment, borrowed from the European Dacia models, the study remains pretty much identical to the production version that has proven to be a success in India.
