Renault chose the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show to unveil two new concepts based on the Sandero hatch and Duster crossover respectively.
The first one is dubbed Renault Sandero RS Grand Prix, and it’s a more extreme version of the hot hatch in Brazil, which continues to use the same 150 PS (148 HP) 2.0-liter petrol engine, but adds a more aggressive exterior, finished in the same color scheme as the brand’s F1 car. A similar pattern is being adopted inside as well, where the black and gold trim can be found on just about every surface.
Renault’s second offering is the Duster Extreme, a study that carries a more rugged design, highlighted by the special wheels, increased ground height, modified front and rear bumpers, roof-mounted LED lights, and some interior tweaks. Power comes from a 2.0-liter petrol engine, which is coupled with four-wheel drive. The automaker has no plans of bringing it into production, but some of the equipment could become available for those looking to make their Dusters more off-road-oriented.
