The second generation BMW 3-Series has aged like a fine wine, so spotting one in almost perfect condition is going to make enthusiasts sigh.
Becoming true classics means that their prices are starting to go up, so if you’ve ever considered buying one, now would be a good time to do it – extra points given for the M3.
Pictured here is a Phoenix, Arizona-based example that saw the light of day back in 1991, which should tick all the right boxes for a potential collector. The vendor says that it drives as good as it looks, describing its mechanical condition as 10/10 and adding that the 110,726 miles (178,196 km) shown by the odometer are real.
The car was repainted in 2009 and, over its 25 years of existence, has received an M3 Evo2 front lip, new kinkey grille, hood, tri-flow exhaust system, Eibach lowering springs and black heated seats, an engine remap and it’s had its clutch replaced.
In its current condition, this classic BMW M3 has attracted six bidders, who raised the price from $26,000 to $32,100 – at the time of writing. However, since the reserve has not been met, it remains to be seen whether the vendor will let it go, and with less than a day left until bidding ends, we won’t have to wait that long to find out.
