Alfa Romeo have just revealed with their first-ever SUV, the Stelvio, but they do benefit from FCA’s expertise in the field.
Launched during the 2016 LA Auto Show and named after one of the greatest driving roads in the world, the Stelvio pass in Italy, the vehicle has been subjected to a somewhat controversial rendering by X-Tomi.
As you might have guessed by the Spider suffix, the Stelvio has dropped its roof and is now barking at the Range Rover Evoque Convertible’s door. No such model exists anywhere in FCA’s plans, we presume, but it would give the Brit, which currently has this new niche all on its own, at least one rival.
In the meantime, Alfa is still parading the SUV in the City of Angels and before the first examples will arrive at dealers across the US in mid-2017 we will probably get to see it at other major automotive events worldwide, where it will continue to attract enthusiasts, especially in it 505-horsepower QV flavor.
