Driving and alcohol don’t mix and we strongly believe that, if you’re out for a drink, you should either have a designated driver or, simply, use other means of transportation. Whatever you do, just don’t get behind the wheel, because you’re putting not just your own life at risk, but others’, too.
According to Autoblog.nl, one 46-year old Italian driver did not take this too seriously and ended up smashing this Giulia on the barriers in Switzerland.
When driving under the influence, an accident might occur no matter what your steed is, but the Giulia QV’s 510 PS, sent to the rear wheels, simply made things worse.
The damages sustained by the car are substantial, especially at the passenger’s side, but there’s no report of anyone being hurt. Now, the reckless driver will have to deal with Swiss authorities, who don’t take lightly to such violations of the law. In fact, DUI is treated as a criminal offense and, apart from a heavy fine, the court might impose a driving ban of at least three months and even jail time.
