Elon Musk has been named on the advisory council of President-elect Donald Trump despite having previously criticized Trump.
On Wednesday, Trump’s transition team confirmed that Musk had been appointed to the president’s advisory council alongside the chief executive of Uber, Travis Kalanick.
Although both Musk and Trump have built billion-dollar businesses, the two couldn’t be more different. As we know, Musk is an avid environmentalist and believes that with Tesla, will help change the world and its transition to renewable and sustainable energy.
Trump on the other hand, is a fierce climate change skeptic, having previously claimed the concept of climate change was invented by the Chinese to hurt U.S. manufacturing.
In the lead-up to the presidential election, Musk said that Trump was “not the right guy” for the job and lent his support to the environmental policies of Hillary Clinton.
