A Ferrari 488 GTB has been totalled after it crashed into an SUV and then a barbershop in Champaign, Illinois.
The crash occurred at around midday on Saturday and while the exact cause of the crash isn’t known, Champaign police sergeant Tom Petrelli said both the Ferrari and the Volvo SUV it made contact with were heading north along Neil Street.
The 18-year-old driver of the Ferrari eventually lost control, jumped a curb and then careened into a brick column support outside Andy’s Barber Shop.
Speaking with Illinois Homepage, barbershop employee Jason Burris said “I was in the middle of giving a guy a haircut. We heard a lot of screeching and loud noises coming from Neil Street.
“Before you knew what had happened, that car had spun around, hit this wall, and was laying out there like it was until the tow truck came and got it,” Burris said.
Thankfully, no one in the barber shop was hurt and the Ferrari and Volvo drivers both escaped without serious injuries.
The Ferrari driver has been ticketed for an improper lane change and reckless driving.
