British Formula One stars Jenson Button and David Coulthard will both compete at next month’s Race of Champions 2017 in Miami.

Fresh off his retirement at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Button has competed in five previous Race of Champions events but has failed to ever take a victory.

Although he is taking a sabbatical from Formula One next year, he is still excited to get behind the wheel of some unique racing cars, saying “I’m delighted to be coming back to the Race Of Champions once again. It is always a great event with a special atmosphere.

“You get to race against the best drivers from all over the world and we enjoy our time both on and off the track as we meet old friends from all the different motor sport series.”

As for Coulthard, he may have retired from professional racing some years ago but remains a fierce competitor and claimed the Champion of Champions crown at the 2014 event held in Barbados. He also reached the final in 2008 and was only beaten by Sebastien Loeb.

Other F1 stars coming to next month’s event at Miami’s Marlins Park include Sebastien Vettel, Felipe Massa and Juan-Pablo Montoya.
