Kia has just released the latest teaser video of its upcoming GT sports sedan and this one is certainly the most revealing to date.
After the first two clips of the car focused on its performance, this one previews the sleek design of the GT which, unfortunately for Kia, was revealed late last month courtesy of a leaked image of an undisguised prototype.
While we know how the car will look, it’s worth discussing what the teaser shows. Among the design details which the clip focuses on are the GT’s hood vents, its flowing silhouette, the LED daytime running lights and the quad tailpipes.
According to the firm itself, “The curve, and the sense of curiosity, is also brought to life in the concave, fastback silhouette of Kia’s long-awaited all-new car. Inspired by a concept, Kia’s newest vehicle marries heart-pounding performance with purposeful and progressive design.”
Powertrain details for the vehicle have yet to be announced but the GT should adopt the same 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 as the Genesis G80 and therefore produce over 365 hp. It will then come with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
The car will debut at the Detroit Auto Show 2017.
