The Grand Tour has come under fire after showing how to smuggle migrants into the United Kingdom.

In episode 4 of the popular motoring show on Amazon Prime, Jeremy Clarkson and James May hid co-presenter Richard Hammond behind the rear bumper of an Audi TT and allowed the audience to try and find him.

After looking both inside the German sports car and across its exterior, the audience was amazed to discover that Hammond was indeed squeezed into a space below the engine.

Speaking during the segment, Clarkson said “When immigrants try to get into the country they always come in the back of a container lorry and that is the world’s worst game of hide and seek. If you work for Border Force you open the doors and go, “well there you are”. ‘Surely, there must be a better way of getting into Britain. And I think I’ve worked it out,” he said.

While audience members appeared to enjoy the segment Barbara Drozdowicz from the East European Resource Center told the Daily Star “We are appalled by the portrayal of migrants as an illegal cargo.”

A spokeswoman from the Road Haulage Association added that airing a “how to guide” to smuggle immigrants into the country was “irresponsible.”

The Grand Tour has declined to comment.
