A weird incident took place last Saturday in Detroit, Michigan, involving an Uber driver and a couple, whom he was supposed to transport.

According to The Washington Post, 23-year old Jacob Matthew Allemon stabbed a 49-year old man, who was accompanied by his wife and called for the ride-sharing service, because he felt that tapping on his window was a sign of disrespect.

“The victim tapped on the window to alert Allemon that they were entering the vehicle”, the Bloomfield Township Police Departmentsaid in a release. “Allemon felt his vehicle was disrespected when the victim tapped on the window.”

Instead of refusing the ride, Allemon reportedly drove for about a mile before telling the couple to get out. They asked to wait in the car before another Uber driver arrived, as there was a snowstorm, and then things got physical, with the victim suffering wounds to his face, back and chest.

The assailant was arrested and charged with assault with the intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, as the police stated, while bail was set at $250,000.
