Automakers keep adding new shades in their color palette, yet new car buyers still prefer the classic options.
Once again, white tops of the list of the most popular colors for 2016, following the trend set a few years back, Largus writes.
According to a study compiled by Axalta, an automotive paint manufacturer, 37 percent of new car buyers chose white, up by 2 percent than in 2015. The record, however, belongs to China, where 57 percent of all new cars sold this year are white.
Black was in second place, chosen by 18 percent of consumers, mostly in premium or luxury vehicles, while the podium is completed by grey, with 11 percent. Other popular colors are red and blue, which had a market share of 6 percent.
