If you’re still unsure what to think about the new BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo, then perhaps this presentation video will clear some things up.
The 6-Series GT is a direct replacement for the 5-Series GT, which means you get pretty much the same qualities of the predecessor, though in a prettier and more technologically-advanced package.
Aesthetically, features such as the large grille, standard LED headlights, frameless windows, side air vents and LED L-shaped taillights, together with more muscular lines than on the unloved 5-Series GT, help the new model stand out. Inside, there are high quality materials, as you’d expect from such a high-end model, but also a wide array of on-board features designed to keep you safe on the road, such as the Driving Assistant Plus with its steering and lane control features.
According to the presentation video, the 6-Series GT is meant to offer “unprecedented driving comfort”, which is a pretty bold claim, although we’ll have to wait for the first reviews to hit the net to find out whether this is true or not.
As for power units, buyers initially will be able to choose between the 630i, 640i and the 630d, the latter being aimed mostly at European customers .
